At EIS Group, social responsibility centers on the community and the environment.
As part of the launch of the EIS Group ENGAGE User Conference, we are introducing ENGAGE Gives Back.
ENGAGE 2019 is being held in Sonoma, California, a region devastated by the unprecedented 2017 wildfires. In support of the local community impacted, we are teaming with La Luz Center and SOS: Sonoma Overnight Support; two important nonprofit organizations dedicated to serving the most vulnerable of Sonoma Valley.
In the aftermath of the fires, La Luz Center provided food, supplies and financial support to thousands of affected families. And through its ongoing health, education and financial security programs, they continue to empower the disadvantaged in the community. Learn more about La Luz Center.
SOS: Sonoma Overnight Support focuses its services on the homeless, victims of domestic violence and fixed-income senior citizens in the area. It operates a homeless shelter, offers a weekday community drop-in program and provides hot meals to the hungry in Sonoma. Learn more about SOS: Sonoma Overnight Support.
During ENGAGE 2019, EIS Group will support these community organizations in two key ways:
- We will coordinate the donation of unopened hotel toiletries to SOS: Sonoma Overnight Support. We invite all ENGAGE 2019 attendees to participate by dropping off unopened essentials into the baskets provided. All collected toiletries will be donated directly to SOS: Sonoma Overnight Support.
- EIS Group will match each toiletry collected with $1.00. We will help upgrade the organization’s computer lab with a monetary donation. Matching funds will go toward the purchase of equipment and supplies for the La Luz Center computer lab.
Additionally, we are proud to participate in the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa corporate responsibility program—One Bottle One Tree—focused on a greener tomorrow.
Upon arrival, each ENGAGE guest will receive a complimentary bottle of Trinity Oaks California wine in-room. The winery promises to “Plant One Tree for Every Bottle Sold.” The Fairmont’s commitment to environmental stewardship has helped plant over 40,000 trees and eliminated over 900 tons of carbon emissions around the globe since the program’s inception in 2011.
